The Rural Voice, 1993-09, Page 43Bruce's beef: great taste, and a good source of iron Bruce County, home of this year's International Plowing Match, is the beef capital of Ontario. Long a favourite with Canadians, beef is one of the best sources of readily available iron — iron that is absorbed more easily than iron from vegetables, cereals and supple- ments. Also beef today is leaner, similar in fat and calorie content to roast chicken, even without the skin. It's all a good reason to give an old favourite another try.
