The Rural Voice, 1993-08, Page 7Kind of spoils the enjoyment of a treat for me to have to analyze whether it's safe or to be feared. Some real fears that farmers have right now are also emerging. Will the price of grain go up? We keep our fingers crossed for a late frost and a continuance of the weather we've been having. When you're in partnership with someone as unpredictable as Mother Nature, it makes the fears real if you want to survive financially for another year. Oops! While I was in la -la -land, I missed seeing a hole. The back wheel of the wagon dropped in and the back half of the load teetered, then toppled into the field, taking Super Wrench with it. Naked fear attacked me immediately as the many forms of reprisal took ominous shape in my mind. You know what? There was nothing to fear. Once the yelling and threats were over with, I still had a job. So maybe it is true; we have nothing to fear, but fear itself.0 Gisele Ireland is from Bruce County.
