Huron nets 93 in
'93!!!
Huron County Federation of
Agriculture recruited 93 new
members in Huron county in the
last two weeks (March 2 to March
12) in the county -wide canvass.
With over 25 teams of volunteers
out canvassing, this campaign was
again a HUGE success.
Friday, March 12, a wind-up
party was held at the St. Columban
Hall when the canvassers from
both Huron and Perth brought in
all their memberships. All
volunteers and new members
qualified for several draws that
were held. All the names went
into a barrel; winners were Heinze
Claus, Tom Hayter, Don Crowley
and Fred Jung.
One member from Perth sold
21 memberships alone. Prizes
were awarded to three persons
who had the most amusing story of
their canvass trips. On behalf of
Huron/Perth Membership
Committee a generous thank you
to all the volunteers who helped
out. In total for both counties
there were approximately 203 new
members.0
