With Stable Funding almost law, I do hope that farmers will take some time to at least think of what will hap- pen to we "The Farmers of Ontario". With the stroke of a pen — farrners in Ontario have lost their ability to make farm policy at our grassroots. For those of us who are familiar with Municipal Politics — I question what the reaction would be from the 600 municipalities belonging to the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (an organization which bats for all municipalities when the Provincial government tries to force a new scheme which is not compatible with the needs of municipalities) if they got the same treatment. I am certain that the grassroots of this organization wouldn't allow a scheme as is happening in our farming community.
