The Rural Voice, 1991-06, Page 51WHAT'S NEW MILK COOKBOOK NOW IN PAPERBACK Health conscious Canadians will now be able to get a bestseller in a completely new paperback edition. Since its first appearance in 1980, over 160,000 copies have been sold of the highly popular "Cook Milk in Any Fla- vour You Like." The first edition con- tained 80 recipes and was published in a loose-leaf format contained within a three-ring binder. It was distributed via direct mail as an adjunct and comple- ment to the immensely popular "Milk Calendar." Each year, update kits with new recipes were issued, and when the number of recipes reached 600, the Ontario Milk Marketing Board decided the time was ripe for the creation of the all new user-friendly edition. The result is an attractive and practical compen- dium of the best milk -based recipes available today. The newest version of "Cook Milk in Any Flavour You Like," illustrated in full colour and black and white, features all 600 nutritious, carefully tested reci- pes from the loose-leaf version, com- pletely reorganized for easy reference. There is a new introduction and much valuable information on milk and its nutrients, illustrated with clear, compre- hensive charts. A complete index lists recipes alphabetically by name, by type of dish, and by main ingredients. There are tips for cooking with milk, metric conversion guides, food storage guides, a glossary of cooking terms, weight/ volume equivalents, and emergency substitution guides. "Cook Milk in Any Flavour You Like," 640 pages, $16, is available from Tanager Press at your local bookstore. The loose-leaf edition is not available through bookstores, but can be ordered through the Milk Calendar on a direct mail basis from the Ontario Milk Mar- keting Board, Dep. A, P.O.
