HURON FINALLY
GETS AG OFFICE
After waiting almost ten years, farm-
ers in Huron County will be getting a
new office to house the county's branch
of the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture
and Food.
Huron MPP Paul Klopp, who is
Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister
of Agriculture and Food, made the an-
nouncement at the recent MP/MPP's
meeting of the Huron Federation of
Agriculture in Clinton.
Klopp said the new $1.6 million
structure, which will provide 800 person
wceks of work, will be finished by next
April.
Although the exact location wasn't
announced, the Ministry owns land in
Clinton.
Huron OMAF staff currently occu-
pies crowed quarters in downtown Clin-
ton and had been promised a new office
by three successive provincial govern-
ments.
