board does not use futures at this time.
A change in legislation would be
needed to allow for this technique.
In the area of value-added process-
ing, the panel urged the board to keep
the price of wheat in Canada compet-
itive with that of America in order to
keep the Canadian milling industry at
par with U.S. mills in the North
American market. It was felt that the
board should become more aggressive
in the domestic feed -grain market.
Ontario wheat producers need to
ask their board to consider seriously
all these suggestions as we enter a new
competitive and challenging decade.0
