AGCARE POSTING
AgCare's new public information co-
ordinator is Mary Wiley, a Bruce
County native.
For the past six years, Wiley served
as director of Public and Consumer
Affairs for the Canadian Meat Council,
the national trade association of feder-
ally -inspected red meat processors.
Prior to that, she was Ontario Home
Economist for the Beef Information
Centre, the promotion arm of the Cana-
dian Cattlemen's Association.
A 1982 graduate of the University of
Guelph's College of Family and Con-
sumer Studies, Mary Wiley was raised
on a Bruce County beef and cash crop
farm. Currently, Mary, her husband and
two children, live near the Wiley grape
growing operation in the Niagara Penin-

AGCare (Agricultural Groups Con-
cerned About Resources and the Envi-
ronment), through its affiliated mem-
bership, represents approximately
45,000 horticultural and field crop pro-
ducers in Ontario. AGCare hopes to
help reverse the trend of agricultural
illiteracy in urban communities by pro-
viding the media and the public with
accurate information on matters relating
to crop production and pesticide use.0
