Hydraulic flotation control, a broad
choice of headers, and a sturdy chassis
make the Case International 8830 self-
propelled windrower ideal for various
crops and field conditions, says Dave
Hess, J. I. Case hay and forage product
manager.
"For optimum cutting in all condi-
tions, you can adjust header flotation
hydraulically from the driver's seat,"
Hess says. "A toggle switch on the
control panel changes hydraulic pres-
sure in the flotation system to match
header flotation to field conditions and
contours."
Draper headers are available in 15,
18, and 21 -foot widths for windrowing
hay or grain. Dual -auger headers in 12
and 14 -foot widths have 110 -inch -wide
conditioner rolls which crush and crimp
stems for faster and more uniform
drying than narrow -roll machines.0
TRIMMER DESIGN
IMPROVES SAFETY
The new hand-held weed, grass, and
brush trimmer from Redmay improves
operator safety by avoiding the use of a
nylon whip and plastic or steel blades
travelling at high speeds.
The Redmay Reciprocator uses two
metal blades, each containing 20 teeth.
One is stationary, and the other works at
a much lower speed than that of conven-
tional trimmers.
The blades cut easily through heavy
weeds and brush, under water, and right
up against buildings, stones, and posts.
