GREY COUNTY RED MEAT PLAN SUMMARY 1989 - The
Simmental & Simmental cross calves had an average ADJ weaning
weight of 670 lbs. The average ADJ weaning weight for all 8,488
calves was 594 lbs. This was an extra 76 lbs. per Simmental
and Simmental cross calves.
With a 25 head cow herd, this would be an extra 1,950 lbs.,
or an extra calf for each 7.5 cows!
