Paul Nairn
Encouraging young farmers
to get involved
Huron and Perth Counties. "Just
being involved — having that
opportunity to connect with others."
"It's also important for farm
groups tohave access to these people
and their viewpoints," he says.
The Forum's planners and
sponsors include
representatives from the
Canadian Young Farmers Forum
(CYFF), Ontario Federation of
Agriculture (OFA) and Junior
Farmers Association of Ontario
(JFAO) and the Canadian Farm
Business Management Council
(CFBMC).
Julie Danen praises the efforts of
OFA in supporting the event. For
those for whom the $80 registration
is a barrier, she notes, some county
Federations (including Bruce, Grey,
Huron and Perth) provide assistance.
There's also free daycare available to
children of Forum participants.
Final Registration is due
Wednesday, November 1.
Registration fee includes OYFF
sessions, meals and the Harvest
Celebration Banquet ticket on
Monday Evening. Registration fees
do not include hotel accommodation.
Yo can find out more information
by visiting the OYFF website
www.ontarioyoungfarmersforum.ca
where you can also download the
registration form.
