Protect your money
For those of you who submitted a
NMFAP (Nutrient Management
Financial Assistance Program) claim
by September 1, 2005 and had it
approved, it is imperative that the
work you have done be inspected by
Mary McIntosh by this September.
Please call and set up a site visit
when you have the copy of the paid
bills, and cheques ready. This must
all be done by September, 2006 or
you will not receive your money!
Farmers that have applied for
money under the Environmental
Cost -Share Opportunities for Ontario
Farmers are reminded that if they
receive a Justification of Assurance
form (a mustard yellow form)... be
sure to fill it out and return to Guelph
as soon as possible so that your claim
can be processed to confirm if you
are eligible for the Final Approval.
This must be done and it is YOUR
responsibility to do it.
If planning a project in the future,
get your EFP (Environmental Farm
Plan) workshop done so the book can
be Peer Reviewed and then you can

Forum accepting

Attention young farmers aged 18-
40. Ontario Young Farmers Forum is
taking applications for entries at the
forum to be held at the Double Tree
International Plaza hotel in Toronto
on November 19 and 20, 2006 in
conjunction with the OFA Annual
Convention.
Registration is $60 by Friday,
September 15 or $80 after up until
November 1. Prices include all
sessions, meals and the Harvest
Celebration banquet (rooms to be
booked on your own).

Perth County Federation of Agriculture Continuing Education Scholarship
We are offering six - $250 scholarships to youth continuing their education in the agricultural field.
To apply you are asked to send your name, address, phone number and the College/University
you will be attending, along with a short report (no longer than 400 words) describing how your
choice of continuing education will benefit the agriculture industry and/or how you will participate in
the agricultural sector upon graduation.
