1930, 1972 and 1988, but it was the
first time the match was held in the
northern part of the county.
It was a chance to show off Perth
County's best, from local entertainers
who performed on several different
stages in the tented city to the fine
work of quilters and other
craftspeople to tents featuring
businesses from around the county.
Bruce County's Jennifer Christie
was crowned Queen of the Furrow.
Bruce County also had a proud place
advertising the 2008 match, the next
time the IPM will visit midwestern
