Are you ready to make the move to a new home that is:
• 2 x more energy efficient than a conventional
wood -framed home

• 4 x more fire resistant than a wood -framed wall
At Donkers Harris Ltd. and its insulated concrete homes division,
MaxxWall Systems, we use Nudura insulated concrete forms (ICFs) and
the new -generation integrated building technology that is vastly superior
to traditional wood framing methods. Building technology has seen rapid
advances in recent years, with home owners looking for newer, more

28 THE RURAL VOICE
producers have also found a new way
to showcase their products while
feeding the tens of thousands of
visitors expected for the five-day
event and meeting all the new,
stringent, safety standards set out hy
the health unit.
Russ Danbrook, a director on the
Pork Producers board, says
representatives from all the
commodity groups in the county
decided to get together, in. co-
operation, to provide food for IPM
guests in two large tents, rather than
setting up individual booths.
According to the Ontario
Plowmen's Association, this
collaboration will be a first at an
1 PM.
The commodity groups, which
include pork, beef, sheep/lamp.
chicken, turkey, egg and milk,
believe by combining their efforts
they will be better able to meet the
strict food -handling standards set out
hy health authorities.
"There have been a lot of
positives from this," says Danbrook.
"The commodity groups have gotten
to know each other and see that we
have a common goal."
That joint effort will enable all the
commodity groups to offer their
products to hungry patrons.
As is their motto, the food will be
"brought to you by the proud men
and women who produce your food
in Perth County".
"If it is grown in Perth, we will
have it." Danbrook says.
One such item is the Perth
Muffin, which is eggs on
English muffins with bacon
or sausage, served largely to
exhibitors on their early mornings.
Other choices will include roast
beef, chicken breast or pork on a bun,
turkey caesar salad, and baked
potatoes or french fries.
No meal would be complete
without a sampling of the old-
fashioned, homemade ice cream,
which will be a featured dessert.
Helping to put all this food on the
tables will be volunteers from the
many church groups in Perth.
The food will be served inside
Coverall structures, so whether the
days are hot and relief from the sun is
needed or drizzle dampens the event,
lunch can be enjoyed in comfort.0
