"Farmers are spending more on
reconstruction these days and they
obviously want to spend wisely,"
says Matthews. "Using additional
quality admixtures in concrete will
certainly enhance the value of their
investment."
The demo will he held in

Builders Association and will be held
at 11:00 am daily on Mason Lane
East, across from the Dairy Pavilion.
For visitors who want to take a
break, seek some shade and listen to
informative speakers, the Farm
Family Program offers a welcome
change of pace.
Held
in the Farm Family
Greenhouse near Third Lane
at Upper Machinery Mall, the
2004 Family Program presents a
great lineup of speakers, including
some regular favourites and some
new names as well.
Jennifer Moore, a gardening
writer and the owner of her own
landscaping business, will return to
explain the 20 most important
landscaping points to consider before
putting the shovel in the ground.
Jennifer has been a popular speaker
at the show for several years,
informing farm families about the
thrill and challenges of gardening.
Also returning after last year's
debut is Bruce Thompson, Ontario
Pork chef/nutritionist. Bruce will talk
about the secret to grilling pork and
he will highlight the versatility of
pork by demonstrating sure-fire
grilling recipes and techniques.
New to the line-up this year is
Mathis Natvik of Orford Ridges
Native Plants. His topic will cover
native plants in the backyard. Mathis
will introduce visitors to the world of
native plants, their beauty and
adaptability to local soils and
climates and how gardeners can
create a landscape for different
habitats in their own backyard.
Another new participant this year
is Rob Lyle of the Napoleon Grilling
Team. Rob will be grilling
passionately delicious recipes with
