OFA - Ag Energy Electricity program announced
If you use over 50,000 kWhs per
year or spend more than $5,000 per
year on your total electricity bill, you
should look at the OFA - Ag Energy
Electricity program. The program
aims to buy power for a net cost of
about five cents/kWh. You could save
about 10 per cent on the energy cost
portion of your bill.
How does it work?
The OFA - Ag Energy Electricity
Program will save you about $5 for
each 1,000 kWhs over 50,000 kWhs
in a year that you use. For farmers
who use less than 50,000 kWhs a
year, the government's capped price
of 4.7 cents/kWh for the first 750
kWh per month and 5.5 cents/kWh
for use over that remains the better
price.
The OFA - Ag Energy Electricity
Program has the following features:
• Easy to join - just fill in the
enrollment form and pay a one-time
registration fee of $75 to Ag Energy.
• OFA - Ag Energy will aggregate
the electricity requirements of all the
members who subscribe to the
program.
• OFA - Ag Energy have retained
