That's the only way we got help but I
had to buy another house first, selling
other property — a woodlot — to pay for
house. Then disaster gave assistance
money, three months later. They told
me the money was for the house only.
For the farm losses it will come from
the agriculture department. I'm still
waiting while my neighbour and others
were paid. I had the greatest Toss, yet I
got not one cent or even a mention,
thanks. I place no trust in Ontario
bureaucrats.
OFA? I've been a paid-up member
since its inception here 27 years ago.
Two years ago because of my losses to
El Nino, wet and mud, I did not have
$7,000 income to qualify for farm tax
reduction and they returned the
membership fee of $160. It was even
worse in 2003, so will they return my
fee again? My livestock sales used to
run in the $20,000 bracket. I am 8:3
years old, healthy and my son helps. I
very much enjoy reading The kural
