By-law enforcement officers will also be on hand to advise owners on tree -cutting regulations. "There is a lot of information available and this part of our Woodlot Expo will be a bit larger this year," says Kropf. Dry weather and insect infestations in the past few years have stressed woodlots in many regions of the province and Kropf says a planned harvest should be part of every management program. Removing diseased trees provides younger, healthy trees with room to grow. "The woodlot is a crop to be harvested when available." The agroforestry demo will expand this year and will highlight salt -tolerant species. Also on display will be a variety of shrubs that can be grown to attract wildlife, information on the effects of winterburn damage, new strains of hybrid poplars and information on planting your own trees from seeds. N4icheI1e Wright will headline a Farm Family Tribute Concert to take place in Woodstock on the evening of September 10, as part of the tenth anniversary celebrations of the show. The Farm Family Tribute serves to recognize the value and integrity of family unity and its vital impor- tance on the farm. Families today face the age-old tribulations assoc- iated with farming. but they are also facing many new issues that earlier generations didn't have to deal with. Along with opening act, Guelph - based James Gordon and Sandy Horne, Michelle Wright will salute the perseverance of farm families across the country. She will also spend the afternoon checking but the Show and will be on -hand at the TSC exhibit to sign autographs. The concert will be held at the Woodstock District Community Complex (Southwood Arena) at 7:30 pm following the Farm Show. Tickets for the September 10 event are on sale now at TSC Stores, through Canada's Outdoor Farm Show at 1-800-563-5441 or by visiting www.outdoorfarmshow.com. The success of the Outdoor Farm Show is thanks to the team he was able to build, says Jocius. He laughs
