Over the course of the match the
wood harvesting area will attract
many visitors. They,ll be able to see
a sawmill, shingle mill, buzz saw,
drag saw and other items in action.
"In essence, we're going to have
more than static displays. There will
be a lot of activity and interaction."
Hughes says.

arranged by manufacturer
with areas for John Deere,
Massey -Harr; ;erguson, Case, Allis
Chalmers, h inneapolis-Moline,
Ford, International, Cockshutt, and
Oliver.
There will be a reflection of
Middlesex County's industrial
heritage. Companies represented will
include Labatt's, Kellogg's,
McCormick's, Craig from Strathroy,
and Jackson from Lucan.
Also part of the Antiques and
Historical area will be a variety of
groups, societies, museums, and
others. They'll have displays set up
in an 80 by 180 foot tent. Everything
from the region's native culture to
development of Middlesex County's
various communities will be
featured.
Among the more unusual items on
display will be a 1928 ALLWORK
tractor built by the George White
Company, a 1952 John Deere "cut-
away" Model 60, a truck -mounted
popcorn machine owned by Dean
Glover of Mt. Brydges that was at
the 1928 and 1982 plowing matches
in Middlesex, and a 100 -year-old
Curve -Dash Oldsmobile owned by
Bruce McLean of Glencoe.
