Murray and Doris Clark and family are among a
growing number of Ontario farm families that
have made raising sheep a full-time occupation.
The Clarks gave up dairy farming to switch to
sheep and gained
freedom from the '
rigid milking
schedule. It
allows them to be
fully involved in
the activities of
their community.
(Murray is
president of the
Bruce County
Federation of
Agriculture this
year.)

There's a growong market for goat meat in Ontario but the
dairy goats usually kept here aren't the best source of juicy
cuts of meat. That's why there's an increase in interest in Boer
goats, relatively new to Canada and especially to Ontario.
