MacLeod, of Limit - now, assisted by Mr, Derwyn. Hill, officiated at the marriage of Miss Norma Jean, youngest daughter of Mr. Wm. Forster, of West Wawanosh, and the late Mrs. Forster, and Norman Wes- ey Stewart, older son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Stewart, of Ashfield, Mrs. Ronald Perrott, sister of the bride, was matron of honor, with Miss Inez Hodgins, of Ber- vie, and Mrs. Ross Henderson as bridesmaids. The groom's bro- ther, Richard Stewart, was best man. Little ` Rhonda Perrott made a pretty flower girl, while little Stewart Ceasar was ring - bearer. The ushers were John Foster and Ronald Alton, and her brother, Lorne Forster, sang "The Lord Is My Shepherd," and "0 Perfect Love." The reception was held in the S.S. room for fifty guests, with the ladies of the church catering. The happy couple left to spend their honeymoon in Eastern Ontario and Ottawa. They will make their home at Benmiller, as the groom teaches in Col - bourne Central School. Their many friends in this community extend best wishes for a long and happy wedded life. Present Driver WHITECHURCH—The riders on the Chapman high school bus surprised Mr. Chapman last Fri- day with a gift of a sweater and he, in turn, passed out candy and a pass to the Wing - ham' Lyceum Theatre for each one. Wesley Tififn, driver of the Chapman bus in Turnberry, treated his riders to a dinner at Danny's Restaurant. U.C. Concert WHITECHURCH—The United Church Christmas concert was held last Friday evening with a good attendance. Rev. G. C. Mitchell was chairman when the children and young folk presented a good program of tableaux, drills, council meetings, choruses and musical numbers. Santa came and distributed the gifts from the well -laden tree. Gifts Presented At School Euchre WHITECHURCH —Eleven tables were in play last Friday evening at the euchre in S. S. No. 9, East Wawanosh, with Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Montgomery and Mr. and Mrs. Noble Greenway sponsoring the gathering. Mrs. Lorne Scott and Elmer Ireland held high points, and Mrs, John L. Currie and Albert Hall held low points, with Robert Arbuckle the winner of the lucky card draw. The folks of this section took advantage of the gathering to present William Elliott with a smoker set and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Montgomery with an oc- casional chair. All thanked the group for the gifts and the re- membrance of good friends and good times in this community. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Arbuckle and Mr. and Mrs. John L. Storm Reduces Attendance at Sunday Services BLUEVALE--A Christmas service was held both in Knox Presbyterian Church and the United Church on Sunday with the attendance much reduced owing to the snow storm. In Knox Church Rev. T. E, Kennedy preached from the prophesies of Isaiah. The jun- ior choir sang carols, under the direction of Mrs. Nora Moffatt, organist. In the United Church Rev. G.C. Mitchell preached on The Coming Christmas" in- dicating that the hopes of good- will to men have not been ful- ly realized. The choir, with Mrs. Carl Johnston, organist, sang, "The Song of Christmas.: Three Craig sisters, Mary,Patsy, and Margaret sang the trio, "A Christmas Lullaby." Mr. Mitchell conducted a baptismal service when Barbara Dawn, daughter of Constable Jack Horton, RCMP and Mrs. Horton of Chilliwack, B.C. was baptized. BELGRA VE Happy New Year to all!
