cel Trost were in attendance.
After dues were collected
the boys assembled in the main
hall where each patrol received
an envelope of instructions,
which when followed properly
took them on a hike up the
tracks to the Riverside Pool.
Morse code transmitted by the
patrol leader from the abut-
ment of the bridge to Scouts on
the beach, signified that they
were to go to Scouter Mcln-
tyre's home, where each pa-
trol received further sealed
orders.
One patrol was directed to
Readman'•s service station, one
to Bondi's, one to Good's and
the fourth to CKNX radio sta-
tion. At the designated place
they found a patient, a mem-
ber of their own patrol, suffer-
ing from a broken leg, injured
thumb and shock.
First aid was administered
to the patients and they had to
be carried back to the Scout
House on stretchers made from
staves, by a specified tune.
All patrols carried out their
duties admirably and points
were given for each operation
in the rescue.
At the close of the meeting
the Cougars were presented
with the pennant for most
points during the evening.
which was placed on the door
of the patrol den. A Scout
shield will be engraved with
the name of the patrol winning
the pennant most frequently
during the year, and hung in
the Scout House for annual
competition.
Scouter McIntyre presented
Scouter Trost with the troop
colors and the lst Wingham
insignia, in appreciation of
his work with Scouts this year.
Scouter "Hawk" , as .he has
been known here, has gradua-
ted from the radar school at
RCAF Clinton and has been
transferred to Trenton. He
leaves Wingham this Saturday
and with hint goes the best
wishes of all members of the
troop. Scouter "Hawk" was a
Boy Scout in Switzerland and
his enthusiasm and inspiration
have been in'raluable to the
leaders and boys of the local
troop.
The meeting closed with
prayer.

COMMERCIAL LEAGUE
There have been several
changes in team standings this
week, so for those teams who
fell by the wayside, now is the
time to get down to business if
you intend to get back your
lead.
Ladies' high single of 258
and also high triple of 669 were
taken by Ruth Lott this week.
Men's high single of 277 taken
by Jim Bain and the high triple
of 730 (very nice, I must say!)
taken by Ernie Walker. George
Cameron seemed to think his
score might be improved by
sitting down in the middle of
the alley. This has been tried
before, but didn't work, George.
Plans are being made for our
Christmas party. This will take
place on Tuesday night, Dec-
ember 18th, after we bowl two
games only, and of course, at
our usual place. Those of you
who spared for us to date are
cordially invited to join us.
This invitation includes your
better halves.
Team standings: Rangers,
56; Wings, 55; Leafs, 52; Can-
adians, 49; Bruins, 47 and

on "striking" Roberta Seddon.
Listen to this girls, after "strik-
ing" nine times in a row, Ro-
berta `finished with a 369. She
also had the high triple of a
722.
