David Ohm and Ron Hitch - Mgt gave demonstrations show- ing the valuable lessons learned during these classes. Paul Gardner attained high- est marks in examinations and has his name inscribed on the honor shield which hangs in the clubhouse. He was presented with a silver cup as a keeper trophy, which was donated by Ross Wormworth. Randy Martyn was awarded a trophy for the largest fish caught this season. A draw for an electric razor donated by Mr. Reagan of Kin - Hockey Schedule Opens This Week The Intermediate hockey schedule, which is listed below, opens for Wingham on Friday evening of this week. Local fans will note that the first home game for the Wingham Team does not take place until after the New Year, in order to allow time for the completion of the new front on the arena here. Mrs. Chas Wood and child- ren of Seaforth visited on Fri- day with Mr. and Mrs. Gershom Johnston. Mr. Archie Watt of Toronto and Rev. Robert Watt of Tor- onto visited on Thursday with their father, Rev. W. J. Watt at Walkerton and with Mr. and Mrs. , Millan Moore. Miss Ann Rintoul and Miss Mary Purdon of Kitchener spent the week -end at their respect- ive homes in West Wawanosh. Mrs. Edward McBurney, Car- man and Ivan, Wingham, and Mr. and Mrs. Gordon McBurney, Ronald and Hugh, spent Sunday with Mr, and Mrs. Elmer Shiell of London. Miss Anne Bricker of Lis- towel and of the Stratford Tea- chers' College, is spending this week with Mrs. George Kennedy at Fordyce School, and staying at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Rirltoul. Mr. Ramball of Owen Sound is also a stu- dent teacher at Fordyce school and staying at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gaunt. Any interested boys are welcome to enroll and receive Hunter Safety training at these meet- ings, Lucky Lassie Has 2 -Year Certificate LAKELET— The Lakelet Lucky Lassies attended Achieve- ment Day at the Wingham Dis- trict High School on Saturday. The morning was taken up with registration and judging of school lunches and menus. In the afternoon there were demonstrations, skits and exhi- bits. The Lucky Lassies had a demonstration on "Potatoes in Fancy Dress" by, Janette Wright and Carol Anne Hohnstien. Each club girl received a silver spoon for completing the pro- ject. Gladys Huth received her 2 -year certificate.
