Over 500 People
Attend Opening
On Monday night over 500
people attended the opening of
the newly -built dining room at
Danny's Restaurant, a half -
mile east of Wingharn. The
new room was built to the east
of the restaurant and kitchen
facilities opened by Danny
Grummett in April of this year,
after two years of operation at
Bluevale.
The room will be available
for b.nquetg up to about 135
people, and will have a seating
capacity of 100 under normal
use. The building is of cement
block, Angelstone and brick
construction and presents a
very modern appearance. The
interior is bright and cheerful
with Angelstone wainscoting,
walnut panelling and colonial
fixtures. Linen tablecloths en-
hance the room and the silver-
ware. Something new, afour-
way stereophonic sound system
will provide music in the room.
Besides Mr. and Mrs. Grum-
mett there are four full-time
employees, with three working
as needed. Danny's has built a
good reputation for fine food,
and the new dining room will
provide badly needed facilities
in the area.
Bruce MacDonald had the
general building contract, with
Hodgins -McDonald supplying
all building materials. Bruce
Chambers of Wroxeter installed
electric heating, wiring, gas
fixtures and plumbing. Ce -
