on Saturday afternoon for the
Christmas bazaar and tea, spon-
sored by the Evening Auxilary,
There was a Christman tree and
decorations and Christmas
centres on the tea tables, The
surnmerlike December day was
favorable and a large number
;of ladies were out and helped
to make the affair successful.
At 3 p.m.. the rector, Mr.
Geo. Anderson, opened the
sale with singing of "Blest Be
the Tie that Binds" and prayer.

the Legion sponsored a Christ-
mas party in the Legion Hall,
Gorrie, for the children of the
members, with 50 attending,
The children provided the pro-
gram. Santa Claus arrived and
distributed treats. A delicious
lunch was served.

on Wednesday night were Mrs.
Leonard Wilson, Fordwich, and
Mr. Wes. Underwood.
Mr. Clarence Spading re-
turned home last week from
the Listowel Hospital,
Rev. F. E. and Mrs. Russell
of Owen Sound spent Thursday
night and Friday with Mr.. and
Mrs. Norman Wade and called
on friends.
Mr. and Mrs. George Hamil-
ton, Mr, and Mrs. John Staf-
ford attended the 17th anniver-
sary of Mr. and Mrs. Vern
Gooley of Dunlop on Saturday
evening.

the passing of Gordon Vittie of
Wainfleet on Sunday. Sym-

gle with 275 and Bill Johnston
took high triple again with

LLOYD'S LEAGUE
Ken Saxton took the men's
high single with a 331 and high
triple with a 770. The ladies'
high single of 227 was won by
Muriel MCFarlan and also the
high triple of 578.
The Kings took the highest
team score with a 2608 follow-
ed by the Aces 2586; Spades
2581; Jokers 2540; Queens
2320 and Diamonds 2279.
