on Saturday at 2 p. m, in St.
Mark's Anglican Church,

Producers at
Formosa Dinner
WHITECHURCII--A good
number of the milk producers
in this district, who supply milk
to Thompson's Creamery, Tees -
water, attended the get-to-
gether for the local group, held
at Formosa Hall, last Wednes-
day night. A group of enter-
tainers from Lucan kept the
crowd in a jovial mood, and
ten prizes of five dollars were
given away. Russell Purdon
and Harold Gaunt, were lucky
winners.
UCW Decides
Not to Elect
WHITECHURCH--The Uni-
ted Church Women held their
November meeting at the home
of Mrs. E. H. Groskorth on
Wednesday last, with 18 ladies
present and with Mrs. Dan Tif-
fin presiding for her group.
Mrs. Tiffin gave the call to
worship and in the meditation
period spoke on God's love.
All sang, "Love Divine, All
Love Excelling", Mrs. Albert
Coultes read from Scripture and
Mrs. Ezra Schultz led in prayer,
Mrs. Dowling gave a reading,
"Take Stock of Life", and Mrs.
Schultz sang a solo, "In My
Heart There Rings a Melody."
Mrs. E. H, Groskorth read
the last chapter of the study
book, telling of the loneliness
of elderly people of the church
groups. Mrs. Claude Coffin
gave a reading from the study
book telling of immigration in
Canada, of the newcomers'
hopes, fears, resentments, ne-
cessities, and spoke on what
our concern for others should be.
The strength of a nation is its
people, and immigration is a
challenge to a nation who can
help with Christian education
and who will learn to serve.
Mrs. Carl Weber gave a read-
ing. The roll call was answer-
ed with a Biblical verse, con-
taining the word love, and Mrs.
Tiffin led in prayer.
Mrs. Millan hloore presided
for the business meeting that
followed. The treasurer re-
ported that three-quarters of
the allocation had been for-
warded. Plans were made for
the baking sale on Saturday in
Wingham. The ladies decided
to carry on in their work for
another year, and not have an
election of officers. The ladies
are requested to bring in good
used articles fon the Korean
bale and one for the Fred Vic-
tor Mission, Toronto, and re-
member the White Gift Sunday,
and Communion Sunday on
December lst, Airs, Moore
closed the meeting with prayer
for the success of all missonary
work, in all lands.

and the new baby while Mrs.
Humphrey was a patient in
Wingham and Victoria Hospi-
tals. Brenda and Carol Web-
ster enjoyed their stay with
their aunt, Mrs. Roy Robinson.
Mrs, W. A, Humphrey also
helped at the .home of her son
during the week.
Miss Clarie Chamney of Tor-
onto spent the week -end with
her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Clarence Chamney and on Sat-
urday they attended the funeral
of their aunt, Mrs, Rosa Brad -
nock of Auburn, widow of the
late Thomas Bradnock. Inter-
ment was in Ball's Cemetery,
Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Rinn and
her sister, Miss Rebecca Hill,
and Mr, and Mrs. Elvey Rock
and Joanne of Belgrave visited
at the home of Mr. and Mrs.

held their annual banquet at
the Queens Hotel, on Saturday
evening with an attendance of
22. After the turkey supper
they held a business meeting.
Jas. Dickson of Belmore was
elected president, Robt. Gol-
ly, was re-elected secretary -
treasure.
Fred Davidson showed mov-
ing pictures of his trip last
winter to Florida and Cuba and
was given hearty vote of thanks
for his beautiful and interesting
pictures. Ail enjoyed the eve-
rting together.
A touch on the horn ring may
