Mrs. Rutherford Reavie and Sharon moved on Saturday from their Wawanosh farm home to the Martin house on Francis St. that Mrs. Reavie recently pur- chased from Mr, Martin. Mr. Beth Gaunt of Wingharn visited on Sunday with Mx. and Mrs. Edgar Gaunt, Marnoch. Mr. and Mrs, George Lei - bold and family of Mount For- est visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Eckenswiller, Mr, and Mrs, Gordon Jamie - SOUVENIR DESIGN COMPETITION Recently, Prime Minister John Robarts announced that the Ontario Government will sponsor a program, recommended by the Tour- ist Industry Committee of the Ontario Economic Council, designed to encourage development of the souvenir industry in the Province. This two -fold project will involve a souvenir design competition, followed by an exhibition of the design entries at the National Gift Show, Feb. 18th -21st, 1963 at the Canadian National Exhibition Grounds: The competition offers first prizes in ten separate categories ($100 each) with a grand prize of $500. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ars- cott and children visited on Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Voisin of Walkerton. The people of Whitechurch extend sympathy to Mr. and Mrs. Keith Colyer, whose mo- ther passed away on Thursday last from a heart seizure, at her home in Lucknow. The funeral was held on Saturday to Greenhill Cemetery. She leaves four sons, Stewart, Ted, Keith and Roy, and one daugh- ter, June. Mrs. Walter Lott spent the week -end with Ripley relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Ben McClena- ghan and Mr. and Mrs. Carl McClenaghan spent Sunday with Mr, and Mrs. Fred Culbert of Walton, Mrs. Victor Emerson hasher left leg in a cast from foot to knee. Mrs. Emerson was put- ting a block of wood in the memorial hall furnace one day last week when it slipped and came down, breaking a bone in her foot. Mrs. J. G. Gillespie, Mrs. G. E. Farrier, Mrs. Robert Ross, Mrs, Ezra Scholtz and Mrs. Dan Tiffin spent Monday last quilt- ing a quilt at the home of Mrs. Frank Ross, Turnberry. Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Coup - land, Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Hussey, and other friends from Toronto, spent the week -end with Mr..and Mrs. Chas. Robin- son, Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Scott and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Coul- tes will sponsor the euchre in S. S. No. 9 this week. The meeting of the United Church Women will be held on Wednesday next at the home of Mrs. E. H. Groskorth, with Mrs. Dan Tiffin's group in charge. Mr, and Mrs. Wilbert Schwich- tenberg of Southampton spent the week -end with Mr. and Mrs, Albert Coultes. Mr. and Mrs. George Walker visited with her mother, Mrs. Wm. Humphrey and Miss Lila on Sunday and attended the tnemorial service, held in the afternoon, when a splendid crowd gathered fox the Remem- brance service at the memorial hall and cenotaph. Rev. C. F. Johnson of the Anglican Church, Wingham, and Rev. Mr. Green of St. Helens, were in charge of the service. Mrs. Millan Moore,' and her uncle, Mr. Harry McClenaghan Wingham, visited on Friday with her father, Rev. W. J. Watt of Walkerton.
