Are Discussed
The November meeting of
the Women's Missionary Society
of St. Andrew's Presbyterian
Church was opened with a call
to worship and prayer by the
president, Mrs. W. Murchison.
The Scripture lesson was
read by Mrs. G, L. Fish. In het
meditation upon the words of
Jesus, "Ye are the salt of the
earth", "Ye are the light of the
world", she stressed the thought
that He was speaking to His dis-
ciples, and that He is still call-
ing
alfing upon Christians to give sa-
vour and light to the world a-
round.
Mrs. F. Moffatt, assisted by
Mrs. J. McKague and Mrs. H.
Aitchison, continued a discus-
sion of the problems in city and
rural churches. Many sugges-
tions were offered for increas-
ing interest and attendance,
chief among which was person-
al contact.
Prayers were offered by Mrs.
Fish and Mrs. W. McKague.
The meeting closed with the
singing of the hymn, "Lord,
Speak to Me that I May Speak".
"Perhaps the basis for most o
our gripes about the younger gen
eration is that we no longer be
long to it."
