The marriage of Caroline Coffin,
slaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude
Coffin of Whitechurch and M.r,
Russell Dent of Montreal was sol-
emnized in the Anglican Church,
Wingham, on Saturday afternoon
with Rev. C. 11`. Johnston officiat-
ing. The reception was hold in the
memorial hall here .for 00 guests
from Montreal, Kitchener, Preston,
and Galt. The happy couple will Forest spent last week with her
parents, Mr and Mrs, Man Pat-
tison.

and family of Belmore visited on

thur Moore. Mr. Moore goes to
Kitchener on Friday to the mar -
'age of his nephew, Gregory Hems-
worth, grandson of the late Mr.
and Mrs. Wesley Moore of Palmers-
ton and Miss Elizabeth Shane of
Kitchener.

the Hallowe'en social. Twenty-one
ehildren were in costume and Ro-
bert McMillan and Joan Adams

WHITECHURCH - Ten tables
were in play at S.S. No. 9 E. Wa-
wanosh on Friday night when Mr.
and Mrs, Gershom Johnston and
Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Taylor
sponsored a euchre. Mrs, Norman
Coultes and Mrs, Ed Robinson held
high points and Mrs. James Coul-
tes and Alex Leaver held low
scores. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Coul-
tes and Mr, and Mrs. Lorne Scott
will sponsor the euchre next week.

C.G.I.T. Meeting
BELGRAVE -The C.G.I,T. group
of Knox United Church met on
Friday. After, games led by Ruth
Michie, president, Marilyn Camp-
bell opened with the C.G.I.T. hymn,
purpose and prayer. Minutes were
read by Helen Anderson. A record
was taken of Church and Sunday
School attendance. The treasurer's
report was read by Ruth Michie.
Next meeting will be in two weeks,
Thursday, Nov. 15, when new mem-
bers will be initiated.
The Juniors, with Mrs, Cliff Lo-
gan, studied "The Women of Sa-
maria"; Intermediates, with Mrs.
H. J. Anderson, studied the 103rd
Psalm. Call to worship was given
by Margaret Nicholson; Scripture
reading by Janette Johnston, fol-
lowed by meditation on the Scrip-
ture by Margaret Nicholson, Aud-
rey Coultes and Rhonda Fear re-
ceived the offering. A hymn was
sung and Margaret led in prayer
and the meeting closed with Taps.
