AT INSTITUTE MELT
I3EL('RAVM The Women's In
statute held its calucation meeting
last Tuesday in the community
centre, Mrs, Leslie Bolt was con_
v'net' of the meeting. The theme;
was "Tho great use of life is to
spend it for something that will
outlast it." Mr's, Richard Proctor,1
president, opened the meeting and
minutes and treasurer's t'eport
were read by Mrs, Earl Anderson.'
Final araugements were made j
for catering to the Credit Union
Day. banquet. $10.00 was voted to
the Salvation Army band of Wing
haul and $10.00 to the Canadian
National Institute for the Blind.
Mrs. Cliff Logan was named dele-
gate to the area convention to is
held in London November 4 and 1.
The penny collection for mental
health was received. It was report. -
a.1 that Mrs. Clarke Johnston's
'1-H display, "Separates for Sum-
mer" had received an award at the
Teeswater Nair.
The toll call was answered by "A
book worthy of special reading".
The address on the meaning of e(1
ucation was given by Mrs. Cliff
Logan and she told of the work of
Donald Scatter, auxiliary teacher in
Zorra Township, who has a mobile
classroom, and about Mr, Buell,
of Laos, also a teacher.
A hobby craft display of leather -
work, oil painting, rags and pot-
tery was commented on by Mrs.
H. J. Anderson, The crafts were
the work of Mrs, H. J Anderson.
Mrs. Sam Pletch, Mrs, Ross Robin-
son, Mrs, Cliff Logan, Mrs. Jesse
Wheeler. The Institute grace was
repeated and lunch served by Mrs.
Harold Proctor, Mrs, Nelson Hig-
gins; and Mrs. Gordon Higgins.
Hallowe'en Party
Planned by C,G.I.T.
BELGRAVE--The C.G.1.T, meet
ing opened with the hymn and ba
sic Scripture, followed by prayer.
Helen Amlerson gave the secre-
tary's report and Ruth Michie the
treasurer's report. It was decided
to hold a Hallowe'en party at Gras-
by's after the collection for UNI..

executive will be in charge of the
lunch.
Next meeting will be on Nov. 2.
Wendy Fear was in charge of the
worship service and opened with
the call to worship followed by a
hymn and Scripture reading. Mar-
ilyn Taylor read a story and Mar-
garet Pattison and Brenda Coultes
tools up the offering. Marilyn led
in prayer. The girls then divided
into four groups and each group
closed independently.
