Lars talk about some of the ,.as
shows. This year, perhaps more
than any other, it large number of
new series have mut- to us from
across the border. It was most
confusing, to say the least, in the
beginning. but now that things art=
settling down to a regular schedule
it is turning out to be one of our
more interesting seasons,
Beginning with Sunday evening.
the "new series" is at Canadian
panel show (Idled "Flashback,"
wherein the panel tries to identify
a person who used tol be a cele-
brity. hut has now disappeared into
oblivion. Some of these people are
often mentioned. i.e.. "where are
they now? what are they doing?"
This program serves to answer
these questions. The panelists are
two television old-timers, Allan!
Millar and Alan Mannings he used
to be on another panel show, "One
of a Kind"1, and two newcomers to
TV, Margaret Morris and Donnalue
Wigmore. The emcee is Paul Soles,
who came to Toronto this year
I from London, Ontario, He's had his
fingers in many pies at (?FPL, and
was a real 1 -ss when he packed up.
To me, he appeared just a bit
nervous and not quite "at home"
in his first few "Flashback" shows,
but he will no doubt liven up as
time goes on. I may he wrong, and
usually am, but I would guess that K•17
"Flashbaek" is going to run a close
second to ,'Front Page Challenge"
