The frill Thankoffering meeting
of St” Andrew's Presbyterian Wo-
men's MIssionary Society was held
in the church parlor on Tuesday
of last week. The devotions follow-
ed a thanksgiving theme. A solo,
"God of the Seasons", was sung by
Mrs, Horace Aitchison. •
The guest speaker, Mrs. John
Ostrom, centred her thoughts on
the story of Joshua, as he led his
people to the conquering of Jeri-
cho. .She stressed the Importance
of faith In the life of a Christian.
Joshua thanked God for victory ---
even before it was granted. We,
ton, need this kind of strong faith
in God. She also noted the great
need for prayer. Joshua sought
God in the morning. We too, should
pray in the morning to receive
strength for the work of the Clay.
If our faith is strong, we will wait
aid pray, and God will lead us
to victory. We must listen to God's
tv'orl and obey it completely, and
we will find there is no
limit to
what Uod can do.
