Young Couple

ding was solemnized on Saturday,
September 22, at 3 p.m. at the home
of Mr. and Mrs, Roy Irwin, of W.
i V rawanosh, when their youngest
daughter, Gladys Louise,, became
the bride of Ronald Wayne Con-
ley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene
Conley, of Kinloss Township.
Miss Lois Conley was bridesmaid
and Mr. Angus Cline, of Ashfield,
was best man, and little Brenda
Finley,. niece of the bride, was a
flower girl, Rev. Mr. McKinney, of
Teeswater, officiated.
All attended the reception and
wedding dinner, in the Memorial
Hall, Whitechurch. The happy
couple will make their home at
Trenton, where the groom has been
with the RCAF during the past
year.
A reception was held in the
Memorial Hall at Whitechurch on
Friday evening last when friends
gathered to honor Mr. and Mrs.
Conley. Carruthers orchestra pro-
vided the music for dancing. After
the Lunch they were called to the
front by Don Huffman, of Lang -
side, who read an address and
Angus Cline presented them with a
well-filled purse, They thanked
their friends for their kind and
thoughtful gift.

Mrs. John Purdon had the mis
fortune to fall last Thursday and
put her right shoulder out of joint.
Mrs, Purdon has been carrying the
arta in a sling since.
Mrs. Irene Paterson, of Toronto,
spent the weekend with her ,moth-
er, Mrs. Wm, Taylor, a patient in
Wingham. General Hospital and
with her brother, Mr, Chas. Taylor.
Mr, and Mrs. Andrew Straughan

zanne, of Goderieh, visited on Sun-
day with Mrs, James Laidlaw and
with Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Laidlaw.
