Mr. Newman gave his daughter in marriage, Her wedding gown was a white full-length silk organ- za on princess bodice, with a cha- pel train, The neckline was hand jewelled with tubular pearls and sequins, with matching jewellery at the hipline. The sleeve's were short and shirred and her pure silk handrolled traditional veil was held by a borealis crown. She car- ried a cascade bouquet, in which an orchid was surrounded by white rosebuds, ivy and stephanotis. The bride's attendants were her sister, Mrs. Bruce Edgar, of Osh- awa. as matron of honor and Miss Claudia Haselgrove, of London, bridesmaid. They were similarly at- tired in canary yellow bombazine dresses with bouffant skirts and lace trim, and toned complimen- tary accessories. They carried Shasta mums and ivy. Little Debbie Edgar, niece of the bride, wore a shirred bouffant dress of yellow organza with her headdress a )miniature of the bride's. She carried a basket of daisies, The groom was attended by Phil Rice, of Windsor, and Jim New- man, of Newmarket•. The ushers were Len Bedard, of Riverside, and Bruce Edgar, of Oshawa. A. reception was held at the Legion Hanle where the guests were received. The bride's .mother wore a pure silk organza eyelet sheath over silk taffeta with side panels and a cummerbund. Her ac- cessories were white. The groom's mother wore a navy French 111,00 dress over silk taffeta, appliciued with a floral design. Both mother:: wore a gardenia corsage. For the wedding trip to Northern Ontario the bride chose a white linen suit, white accessories and an orchid corsage. They will live in Walkerville. The bride is a graduate of the Stratford Teachers' College, Guests were present from Osh- awa, Windsor, Newmarket, Brus- sels, Teeswater, Goderich, Zurich, London, Toronto, Detroit, Liman, Kerwood, Riverside and St. Jos- eph's. Crafts and work- books were viewed at eight o'clock and the program started at 11.30 in the auditorium of the church, which was filled with relatives and friends. Mrs. George Michie, director of the school, opened with words of welcome to the many visitors. The school theme song was sung, "My Bible and I", followed by the pro- m:se and the school prayer, The Beginners sang "God Made Every- thing", followed by the fingerplay, "The Life of Jesus", song, "Baby Moses" and concluded with their closing prayer song. The Primary group sang four songs: "The Bunny ,tong" "Be Careful, His Eyes Are Always on You", "N -O Is Just a Little Wor:l and So Is Y -E -S" and "Wide, Wide as the Ocean". They closed by re. peating Scriptures in unison. The Juniors and Teens sang "More About Jesus Would I Know". Memory verses and something about each lesson was told by Nell Vincent, Gary McSween, Joan Bos. man, Richard Anderson, George Johnston, Mary Ellen Walsh, Ray- mond VanCantp, Joyce C'ouites, Ronnie Taylor and Mary Ellen Taylor. Juniors and Teens then sang "0 Mighty God". Mrs, Gordon McBurney reviewed the Mission stories and told of the ten countries sLudh.d; Phillipine Is lan,ds, Iiquatior, Hawaiian Islands Mexico, Okinawa, Africa, 1:Idiar, Burma, Korea and Thailand. Child- ren all sang ",Jesus Loves Me" in English and the chorus in Afric':ni. A very beautiful number was sung by the sixteen tern helpers, "Jesus Our Shepherd". Rev. 11. J. Anderson then introduced visiting ministers, Rev. Robert ]/really of the Anglican Church and Rev, W. .T, Morrison of the Presbyterian Church, who spoke briefly, Mr. Anderson thanked ail who hall helped in any way With the sehnnd.
