Plans were made for the next meet-
ing, with the South group to be in
charge. A quilt will be done in. the
SS room this week, Mrs. Moore
announced the receipt of $88,00
for the In Memoriam fund for her
mother, the late Mrs. W. J. Watt,
and thanked those wha assisted at
the church when members of the
family were here. Mrs. Moore
closed the meeting with prayer.
All enjoyed the social time that
followed, with sandwiches, freshie,
cake and ice cream, and tea for
bhe older ones.

Dies at Woodstock
GORRIE•-•-William G, Lockhart,
of Eastwood, died Sunday, July 15,
at the Millway Nursing Home,
Woodstock, at the age of 86 years.
He was born, at Princeton and
farmed for some time in the Wood-
stock vicinity, He had lived retired
at Eastwood for a number of years,
His first wife was Ann Bennett,
'who predeceased him, In July, 1957,
he was married to Mrs. Isabel
I,, Dater, of Dlrnira, formerly of Gor-
rie. She passed away in, January
of this year,
Survivors are one sister, Mrs.
Peter (Jennie) Wettlaufer, of War-
ren, Pa., and one brother, John, of
Ottawa,
lie was a member of the Angli-
ran Chureh at Eastwood,
Funeral service was at the Ro-
wel/ funeral home, Woodstock, and
burial in the Congregational
Cemetery, Burford.
Sunday in August. Mrs, Beecroft
gave a talk nn the new study book
"On Asia's Rim," and closed with
the benediction. Mrs, McBurney's
group served the quarterly birth-
day tea,

Schools held their ennuis] joint
picnic at the Ciorrie community
park on. Saturday afternoon. A
very good crowd was in attendance
and the weather was very favor-
able.
Contests, races and swimming
were enjoyed by the young people,
followed by a picnic Lunch.
