Women of Calvin - Brick held
their social evening on Mon-
day night nt the church, with
guests from. the two groups of Bel.
grave, and Westfield, St. t3el.en8,
Donnybrook and Whitechurch
groups, totalling almost 90 women
present, M. Mason Robinson eon -
ducted the meeting, Mrs, Gilbert
l3ceer'oft, president, welcomed the
ladies and gave the meditation
talk, telling the story of the lowly
Jesus, who left the legacy, "My
Peace I leave with you." Mrs, Geo.
McGee led in prayer. Mrs. Claude
Cafifn and Mrs. Dan Tiffin sang
"How Creat Thou .Art," with Mrs.
G. E, carrier, accompanist,
Mrs.
Beecroft spoke of the re-
gional rally at I lucevale on May 28
and the invitation to attend' the
meeting at Westminster College,
at UWO, an June 13, She asked
that the ladies have the woollen
materiais ready for a trip to Pres-
ton mills next week. Mrs. ,McGee
led in the ,dedicatory prayer,
Mrs, Gordon McBurney introduc-
ed the special speaker, Rev. K.
Krug, a former pastor, When Mr,
Krug accepted the invitation to
address the UCW, he .asked that
they speak for three couples from
each church group to assist with
the Sing -Time service an Sunday.
Mr. Krug thanked the group for
their co-operation, spoke highly of
the response and the assistance of
the singers on TV, commenting
that folk from far and near had
called him to voice their praise of
the old songs, and the Sunday
message. Mr. Krug emphasized the
need of 'Christian witness for
Christian family life, and as we
make ourselves available for this
group, we witness individually.
Mr.s Norman Coultes thanked
Mr. Krug for the inspiring address.
Mrs. Hilliard Jefferson and Mrs.
Thomas Armstrong sang "The
Lord's My Shepherd," and Mrs, H.
Anderson closed the meeting with
prayer. All enjoyed the social time
that followed, when groups of four
found nd new and former. friends.
