Plans are not complete for this section, however.--A-T photo, MRS, CARROLL OREGG PASSES SUDDENLY (IORRI9. Airs. Laura Vera Gregg died suddenly on :M4onclay. April 9th at the \Villowdalc home of her son, George. A daughter of the late John Hueston and his wife, Margaret Sanderson,' she was born on Con - 'cession 12. Howiek, on June 18, 1902. She was a member of Gorrie United Church the Woman's As- sociation and had been a Sunday School teacher and also a member of the Women's Institute for 40 years. On June 30, 1026, she was mar- ried at the Gorrie parsonage to Carroll Gregg, who predeceased her in 1917. Surviving are one son, George, of'Willowdalc; one daughter; Mrs. William 'Erlandt Thornton, R.R. 2, Garde, and five grandchildren. One brother. Knowlson, predeceased her. The body rested at the Moir fun- eral home until noon Thursday, then to Gorrie United Church, where service was held at 2 p.m•, conducted by Rev. Fred W. Tay- lor. Pallbearers were Thomas Ritchie, Hugh Hutchison, Harold Hyndman, Lorne Robinson, DeWitt Adams and Doran Thornton. Lnterment was in the Gorrie cemetery. FUNERAL AT GORR.IE FOR MRS. J. W. HIRD GORME The death watered L her home herr on April 6 of Airs. Elizabeth S. Hird, wife of RCP• :fames Wilfred Hird, retired United Church minister, in her 71st year. Funeral service was held in Gor- rie United Church on Monday afternoon, with two choirs of b'ord- wich and Gorrie and Miss Carol Robinson at the Hammond organ. Rev Fred W. Taylor, minister of Gorrie conducted the service and preached the sermon, Rev. Robert Hiltz, chairman of Huron Presby- tery read the Scripture and Rev. T .Garnett Husser led in prayer. Other ministers from the Presby- tery in attendance were Rev, Hugh Wilson, Rev.W.Clark C.1J , and d Rev. R. E. F. MeLagan, secretary of Presbytery. Two hymns were sung ,"O (nod, Our Help in Ages Past" and Not Known, "Nast"hast Thou Kn wt , Hast Thou Not Heard" to the tune of "Balerma", Interment '1 was a i) Wroxeter Cemetery. April 9th at the \Villowdalc home of her son, George. A daughter of the late John Hueston and his wife, Margaret Sanderson,' she was born on Con - 'cession 12. Howiek, on June 18, 1902. She was a member of Gorrie United Church the Woman's As- sociation and had been a Sunday School teacher and also a member of the Women's Institute for 40 years. On June 30, 1026, she was mar- ried at the Gorrie parsonage to Carroll Gregg, who predeceased her in 1917. Surviving are one son, George, of'Willowdalc; one daughter; Mrs. William 'Erlandt Thornton, R.R. 2, Garde, and five grandchildren. One brother. Knowlson, predeceased her. The body rested at the Moir fun- eral home until noon Thursday, then to Gorrie United Church, where service was held at 2 p.m•, conducted by Rev. Fred W. Tay- lor. Pallbearers were Thomas Ritchie, Hugh Hutchison, Harold Hyndman, Lorne Robinson, DeWitt Adams and Doran Thornton. Lnterment was in the Gorrie cemetery. FUNERAL AT GORR.IE FOR MRS. J. W. Taylor, minister of Gorrie conducted the service and preached the sermon, Rev. Robert Hiltz, chairman of Huron Presby- tery read the Scripture and Rev. T .Garnett Husser led in prayer. Other ministers from the Presby- tery in attendance were Rev, Hugh Wilson, Rev.W.Clark C.1J , and d Rev. R. E. F. MeLagan, secretary of Presbytery.
