ADDITION ASKED FOR
COUNTY MUSEUM

By N. B. Elliott
GODERICH --- County Council's
historical committee is somewhat
less than enthusiastic over Curator
J. H. Nei1l's plan to build an addi-
tion on the front of the Huron
Pioneer M u s e u nn, Discussion
broaght out that the addition, pro-
posed to make the handling of
visitors easier, would be of cement
blocks. "Four different generations
of architecture in that one lot," one
member said, "and cement blocks
would make a fifth."
The chairman, Reeve A. D.
Smith of Turnberry, said the cura-
tor was not satisfied with the way
his building program has been
handled.
"Wo have some now members
on our committee," he explained,
"and before this June session we
hope to work out some arrange-
ment with regard to what the cura-
torttli
of Bed to the committee.
He
has written totters saying he will
not be the curator unless certain
Innings aro done, and personally I
think that is the wrong attitude,
but if you will bear with us for
another couple of months we will
try to work out an arrangement
wlti,sfactory to everybody."
"The curator explains that he
cannot sell tickets the way the
eomnty auditor wants, and says it
cannot be done," remarked :Reeve
Prank Walkom of Cloderieh, a
member of the ('0171m1ttee.
