Others taking part in the pro-
gram were Mrs, Harry Elliott, Mrs.
W. J. Johnston, Mrs. B. H Moffat,
Mrs. John Wickstead and Mrs,
Wm. Elston.
Mrs. R. J, McMurray gave the
address, explaining the history of
the movement, stressing the
thought of unity among Christian
women all over the world and
showing the value of prayer. Mrs.
Walter Willis sang the solo, "He
Died of a Broken Heart," with ac-
companiment by Mrs. Carl John-
ston,

ladies gathered in the Presbyter-
ian Church here on Friday after-
noon for the World Day of Pray-
er. The presidents, Mrs. Victor
Emerson, Mrs. Millan Moore, Mrs.
Derwyn Hill and Mrs, F, H, Gros-
korth had charge o1' the different
sections of the program, with the
theme, "God's Love for the Whole
World."

Mrs. Claude Coffin sang "I Come
to the Garden Alone," and Mrs.
Jas. Richardson sang, "The 'Deep,
Deep Love of Jesus," with Mrs.
Dan Tiffin•acemnpanist;. `Phose•who-
led in prayer were Mrs, Hill, Mrs.
J. D. Beecroft, Mrs, Walter Lott,
Mrs, John Purdon, Mrs. Russell
Ross, and Mrs. Moore led in the
offertory prayer.
Mrs. Millan Moore gave a short
address on the need of love, saying
love never faileth. She asked each
to light the light of love today.
Mrs. Moore led in the benediietion.
