Mr, Vin- cent was born in Usborne Township in 1885. Mrs. Vincent, the former Bertha McDowell, was born in East Wawanosh in 1886, on the farm where her brother, Alva, now re- sides. They were married on the farm where she was born. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Shaw and family, of London, spent the week- end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. :fob n Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. Jack VanCamp re- cently visited with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Hayes, Elyria, Ohio. Mr. and Mrs. John Thompson and family, of Bluevale, visited on Sat- urday with Mr, and Mrs. William McNeil. The infant son of Mr. and Mrs. James Lamont, which was born on February 7, is a patient in the War Memorial Children's Hospital, Lon- don, having undergone an operation there on Thursday. Mrs. Ralph McCrea, and James Lamont visited with Mrs. Ray Honking and Mrs. Carl Procter, on Sunday, at Victoria Hospital, Lon- don, where they are patients. Mrs. J. M. Consolation 'prizes went to Mrs. John • Anderson and Joseph Dunbar. : Entertain Groups At Skating Party BELGRAVE-The Belgrave iii -C group entertained young :people from Gorrie, Bluevale, wdngham, Whitechurch, Auburn, and Kinburn at a skating and broommball party in the Belgrave arena on Friday evening. After games in the library rooms, the group skated and later divided into broomball teams. Sev- eral lively games were played ,and then everyone went to the United Church for lunch of soup, crackers, donuts and coffee. AFTERNOON UNIT- TO SAVE STAMPS BELGRAVE--Tine afternoon unit of the United Church •Women`.met on Wednesday afternoon in `static church basement with Mrs. • Lyle Hopper opening the meeting with a hymn, prayer and a Psalm. The president, Mrs. Leslie Bolt, was in charge of the business period when routine reports were read by the secretary and treasurer._ Mrs. Ross Robinson and Mrs. Earl Anderson each gave reports of the Presbyterial meeting held re- cently in Clinton. Members were requested to save old stamps, used nylons and re- ligious material. Mrs. Herb. Wheel- er was appointed to be In charge of the penny collection to be used for cards, flowers and other ar- ticles. Members are asked to bring any old secretary's books they may have so that the committee, Mrs. Wil- Ilard Armstrong, Mrs. Earl Ander- s• -m, Mrs. Herb Wheeler and Mrs. James Michie, may summarize these to send into headquarters. Mrs. Williard Armstrong was In eharge of the study, "Youth in Transition, Lost or Found," from the book "Signals in the Sixties." Mrs Walter Seott was in charge of the Bible study, which was from the first two ehapters of Acts. Members are to read the third chapter of Acts for the next !fleet- ing. The World Day 'of Prayer is on March 0 in Trinity Anglican Church with Mrs. J. H.
