Helpful Tips for
The Photographer
Shoot for sharp picttu•es. Stand
with your feet separated. Brace
your elbows to support the cam-
era, and press the shutter release
slowly. You can't hurry the shut-
ter •by :jabbing it quickly—but you
'can blur ' tile: photo.
Leaving. film in the camera too
long can -cause the exposed image
to fade. So it's best to have. your
film developed soon after taking
the pictures.
When taking flash shots, use a
guard over the bulb. The flash
guard provides softer light and pro-
tection in case a bulb ever shat-
ters when fired. -
Load and unload in the shade.
Handling filet in bright sunlight
can cause streaky pictures. Use
•the shade of your body if you have.

"Sign" your pictures; :r'Ioiures of

ilar landmarks make good • titles
for your movies, slides or picture
albums.
Keep your lens clean! Dirty lens-
es take foggy, blurry pictures.
All growing up is a picture story.
A baby's first steps, new toys, f1rst
trip to kindergarten, first tricycle,
first bicycle --these are all part of
the big story. Keep these memories
in pictures . . . you will be glad
you did. -
If you're- not sure w,11ether you
advanced the 'film, wind it to be on
the, safe side. That way, you'll
never run the risk of iclouble ex-
posure.' Be.ttc'r still, make it a
habit to wind the film inunediate-
