McLaughlin and Reed funeral home, Listowel, Former Resident Dies in Kitchener Thomas Errold Drummond, 73, of Kitchener passed away on Monday after a long illness in Kitchener- Waterioo Hospital. He was born in Winglrann, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Drummond and with his father, owned and operated the butcher shop now belonging to Andy Mitchell. Mr. Drummond lived in Hensall for a number of years. He is survived by son, A, H. (Gerry) Drummond, Kitchener; daughters, Mrs. M. D. (Louise) Harman, Woodstock; Mrs. H. M. (Beryl) Wilson, London; Mrs. E. F. Kincardine Ernest John Perrott passed away suddenly at his home in Kincar- dine on Tuesday, Dee, 26th. Born on March 11, 1887 in London, Eng- land, he came to Canada in 1912, residing at Kincardine since that date, where he was employed at the Andrew Malcolm Furniture Company. Surviving besides his wife, the former Isabella McVinnie, are three sons, Kenneth, Kincardine; Charles, Wingham and Gordon, at Exeter and one daughter, Mrs. Er.. nest (Audrey) Murdoch of Bramp- ton and eleven grandchildren. Two brothers in Toronto and a brother and sister in England also survive. The funeral was held on Thurs- day afternoon from the Linklater funeral home with the Rev. Fred H, Cromey officiating. Interment was in Kincardine .cemetery. The pallbearers were Athol Murray, Harry Johnston, Wes Patterson, Clifford Kempson, Frank Bock and Dick McKay. Mr. Earl Venner left on Saturday to spend this ,week -end at the home of his brother, Mr. Howard Venner, of Port Dover. Mr. Derwyn Hill, of the manse, left on Tuesday to .attend Knox College, Toronto, this term. The January meeting of the Women's Institute will be held on Wednehday next at the home of Mrs. Garnet Farrier. The roll call is to be answered by "What laws would you change , to better the lives of Canadians?" Note change of meeting date. Miss Winnifred Farrier, Miss Karen Groskorth returned to their positions in Toronto on Tuesday after holidaying at their homes for the past week. Mrs. Victor Emerson spent the week -end with her ,mother, Mrs. Reuben Tiffin, at the home ,of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Ritchie, Langside.. Mr, Emerson, Mr. and Mrs, Chas, Tiffin and Mr, and Mrs. Fred Tif- fin spent Monday ,at the Ritchie home. Mrs. Reuben Tiffin has been under the doctor's care'for the past few weeks. Mr. and Mrs: Carl Weber and children visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Chambers, of Harriston. ' Miss Joyce Collins, of Toronto, spent the week -end at the hone of Mr. and Mrs. E. H, Groskorth. Hydro men expect to have the power turned on in the motor house for the water system this week. Some have been ready for some time to have it in their homes.
