Christmas Day a celebration of Jesus’birthday Christmas is loving your friends and family and giving cards and gifts, and we have dinner with our relatives. A man and a woman might have to kiss under the mistletoe. Christmas is celebrating dinner with our family and friends and we celebrate Jesus’ birthday and go to church and read the Christmas story. We sing some Christmas carols and sing some fun songs too. Jennifer Lubbers Grade 3, Walton. Christmas is giving your pre­ sents to the people you love. Christmas is remembering when Jesus was born in Bethlehem and laid in a manger in a stable. His mother was Mary and His father was Joseph. Sharing is letting other people play with you and letting other people play with your toys. We sing nice carols that tell about Jesus being born in Bethle­ hem and fun songs about Santa Claus and Rudolph. People sing and are happy to get presents. Music is bands playing. The shepherd’s came first. They saw the star first. The wisemen came because they saw the star second. They came and they brought presents and bowed to the Baby Jesus and then they left. They did not go a certain way because if they did the Baby would get killed. They did not want King Herod to kill Him. Shannon Gibbons Grade 3, Walton. Christmas is being happy and giving presents. Mom bakes cook­ ies and cake. Mom, Katie and I put up decorations. Mom, Dad, Katie and I open our presents on Christ­ mas morning after Santa Claus came on Christmas Eve. We give gifts, presents, toys, and cards to our friends and Mom and Dad, and Grandmas and Grandpas. We write letters and send cards. Christmas is remembering the last Christmas you had and all the fun and gifts you got and gifts you gave. You remember the people you saw shopping and all the good food you ate at Christmas. You remember the bright, bright star that shone high in the sky that shone over the stable where Jesus was lying in the manger. Jesus brought love to the world.
