Phone 887-9487 People in Belgrave Mrs. Gordon Bosman has return­ ed from having a visit with her sister Mrs. Agatha Kaasa, a pa­ tient in Lynwood Extended Health Care Centre, Edmonton, Alberta. Mr. and Mrs. Tibor Oravec and Kristian of Stratford visited on Sunday with Mrs. Mabel Wheeler. Mrs. Philip Stopforth visited with her mother Mrs. Elizabeth Procter last Monday. Jeremy Campbell, son of John and Linda Campbell celebrated his ninth birthday on November 21 at the home of his parents. She opened the meeting with a poem written by her father-in-law. Convenor for the meeting was Mrs. Leonard James who introduc­ ed Mrs. Murray Scott demonstrat­ ing Christmas decorations. Using one dozen fresh carnations, Wilma showed us how to make two gifts and a lovely ornament for dining 13 tables in play at euchre Thirteen tables were in play at the weekly euchre which was held in the W.I. Hall, Belgrave, Novem­ ber 22. Winners were: high lady, Mrs. Gordon Louttit; low lady, Mrs. Dorothy Logan; second high lady, Mrs. Mary Chamney; most zero’s, Huron youth do well at Royal Huron County Pork Producers can be proud of their young producers after their strong show­ ing in the Ontario Junior Barrow Show at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair on November 10. Cindy Cairtpschroer, her brother Kevin, Jennifer Procter and Jeff Robinson all had barrows place within the top 20. Thirty-six contes­ tants entered 86 barrows in the many different classes during the show, which were judged by Tom Farrer of Royal Center, Indiana. Kevin Campschroer was runner Justin, Luke Lockridge, Ryan Cook, Michael Marks, David Piluke, Wayne Fenton, and Peter Irwin. Before supper the children had a fun time enjoying many inside games and afterwards snow tub­ ing. A good time was had by all. Enrolled were (front row, left to right) Kristy Blair, Elizabeth Sauve, Pauline Blok, Bonnie Stewart, Sharon Hartman (back) Stephanie Oliver, Samantha Funston, Theresa Oliver and Lisa-Marie Kelly. 9 girls enrolled into Brownies Nine girls were enrolled as Brownies at the annual Enrolment Night held on November 22, 1989 at the Blyth Public School. The new Brownies include Kristy Blair, Sharon Hartman, Theresa Oliver, Elizabeth Sauve, Pauline Blok, Bonnie Stewart, Stephanie Oliver, Samantha Funston, and Lisa-Marie Kelly. After repeating their promise to Brownie leader Susan Haggitt, the girls were presented with their six emblems and pack tapes. Radar District Commission, Janet Cameron presented the new Brownies with their Brownie pins. New members joining the pack through transfer this year were Amanda Machan and Jennifer German. The Brownies have been busy this fall working on their Athlete, Hostess and World Friendship badges along with individual inter­ est badges. Some events for the winter session include a trip to the Conservation Area and a skating party. In the spring a camping session is planned.
