Obituaries JEAN BERTHOT Jean Berthot died peacefully at her home in Mannheim on Thurs­ day, Nov. 16, 1989 in her 68th year. The former Jean Fairservice, she was a native of Hullett township. She was a working companion for 23 years to Dr. D. M. Wyse of Kitchener and was an associate member of Forest Hill United Church, Kitchener. She is survived by her husband Arnold Berthot and her daughter, Sandra and her husband Gord Johnston of Woodstock as well as Business and_______ Professional Directory grandchildren Andrea, Tanya, and Eric. Her brother Scott Fairservice of San Diego, California and sister Betty Youngblut of Goderich also survive. The funeral service was held Saturday, Nov. 18 from the Tasker Chapel of the Beattie-Falconer Funeral Homes in Blyth. Interment was in Blyth Union Cemetery. NORMAN BALL Huronview’s oldest resident, Norman Ball, died on November 7. He was 105. Formerly of Clinton and Hullett Township, Mr. Ball was born in Hullett Township on September 25, 1884. He was the son of William Henry and Christina (Straughan) Ball. A farmer by profession, Mr. Ball was a member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Clinton. Mr. Bali was married, twice, first to Olive Hill, and later to Erna McLean. He was predeceased by both of his wives. He is survived by one daughter, Jean (Mrs. Douglas Campbell) of Mitchell, two sons, Reginald and his wife Dorothy of Goderich, and Clark and his wife Margaret of Clinton, and by three step-daugh­ ters, Isabel (Mrs. Ralph Cavers) of Pilot Mound, Manitoba, Ruth (Mrs. Norman Sayers) of Cutknife,; Saskatchewan, and Jean (Mrs. John Kosawan) of Ottawa. He was predeceased by his • wives, one son, Clarence Ball, two sisters, Isabella (Mrs. Aldie Holmes) and Annie (Mrs. Howard Hill), and by one brother, Edward Ball. A funeral and commital service was held at the Ball Chapel of the Beattie-Falconer Funeral Homes on November 10, with Rev. David Woodall officiating.
