People Six tables of Lost Heir players took part in the regular Wednesday night card party at Blyth Memorial Hall. Mary Holland and Feme Mc­ Dowell had the high scores. Mary Cook and Wilfred Shortreed had the low scores. Harry Crich won the special prize. Happy birthday to Jody Sippel on her 18th birthday on November 8. • Twelve tables were in play at the weekly Monday night Euchre party at Blyth Memorial Hall October 30. High scores were recorded by Mae Pepper and Walter Pepper. Low lady was Margaret Eyre while low man was John Simpson. Lottie McLellan and Harry Crich had the most lone hands. Don Haines won the special prize. WA^TADS WORK ALL THE TIME!/ to sign books Dan Needles, author of the Blyth Festival hit “Perils of Persephone” will be in Blyth Saturday to sign copies of his new boox “Letters from Wingfield Farm”. The “letters” began when Mr. Needles was a newspaper editor and created a column in his newspaper from Walt Wingfield, a big-city businessman who had bought a farm in nearby Perse- 4Hers practice cooking BY JILL JENKINS Last week the Blyth 4H meeting was held at Pam Morrison’s, not at Kim Ferguson’s.
