Huron Musicfest to be hosted by CHSS On Thursday, November 9, Cen tral Huron Secondary School in Clinton will once again host “Hur on Musicfest’’. This popular annual event will commence at 7:30 p.m. in the school auditorium. The concert is the culmination of an all-day work shop for four area High School Bands. As well as the bands from Clinton, Exeter, Goderich and Wingham, a Jazz Ensemble from La Salle Secondary School in Sud bury will be on hand as special guests. Each school performs numbers from their own repertoire and then all the bands combine in a massed band performance. One might fear that when over 150 musical instruments combine in one school auditorium that the result would be deafening. But on the contrary, because of the superb training and practising, the results are absolutely beautiful. After one such massed band presentation of “O Canada’’ the guest conductor apologized to the audience for his tears as the result of such a moving and beautiful interpretation of the National An them. This is an excellent evening of entertainment for the entire family. There is no admission charge. There will be a silver collection to offset the expenses. 7.
