Rev. Ramirez said that many times we are pre-occupied with material wealth and physical well being, we should not fear physical death, rather we should be more concerned with spiritual death. If we hunger for this spiritual food we must feed on Christ knowing Him as Lord and Saviour. He lived for us, he died for us that we may have spiritual eternal life. Rev. Ramirez ended by saying “Let us feed on Him” and proceeded to officiate the communion of the Lord’s Supper. Next Sunday is Thanksgiving Sunday, the first family Sunday. There will be no Sunday School. Children are asked to bring an item of non-perishable groceries for a secial “Thanksgiving Offering” for “Survival Through Friendship House” Goderich. The congrega tion is invited to participate also, donations will be placed in baskets at the back of the church. Every year up to one third of the population may contract the illness known as influenza and some will die from it. Anyone can get the flu and even for normal healthy people, it can be severe. It usually keeps people in bed for several days in an extreme ly weakened condition which can linger for weeks afterwards. This can leave the person susceptible to many other winter infections. Clas sic flu symptoms include a bad cough, fever, chills, aches and pains, and loss of appetite. People in high risk groups are in greater danger of suffering very severe, life-threatening illness from the flu. These people include everyone over the age of 65 and anyone with chronic medical condi tions such as heart, lung, or kidney disease or metabolic disorders such as diabetes. Residents of nursing homes or chronic care facilities usually fall into one or more of these high risk categories and are at additional risk because their institutional environment may pro mote the spread of the disease. Crime Stoppers and the Goderich O.P.P. are asking for your help to solve a Break, Enter and Theft that took place in Colborne Township.
