Sharon took the award as champion showman of the dairy class. Swine club holds meeting The North Huron 4H swine club held their final meeting at the home of leader Cathy Douglas. Members put on coveralls and boots and went out to Douglas’s bam to learn how to clean and show pig- They then moved into the l^gtese where President Hazel Rae opened the meeting with the 4H pledge. Then, at a time when life might have slowed somewhat, she raised another young family of three at Four Wynds Farms when Ralph’s wife died suddenly in 1953. She would “keep house” here until she was 90, when she alternated homes amongst her daughters and grandchildren. Gram Foster, as she was known affectionately to so many, leaves behind a tremendous heritage. Her life was a balance of care and concern for others, of courage, and of fun, all of which had a sure foundation in her religious faith.
