people were there.”
Joan Bernard stated that the
Agricultural Society’s booth did
extremely well. “We sold 600 hot •
dogs and approximately 60 .pounds
of beef,” she said. Mrs. Bernard
also said the exhibits were on par
with other years. “We did have a
decrease in flowers and balked
goods, but there were more crafts
entered, so it averaged out.”
Mrs. Mutter added that the 4-H
activities were well-attended as
well.
Overall, members of the Agricul
tural Society felt the Fair was
successful, however, they remark
ed that they desperately need help.
“We are looking for directors, both
senior and junior,” Mrs. Bernard
said. “It is just getting to be too
difficult for some of these people to
work. The men’s group is really
down in numbers and the ladies’
gets worse every year as well,” she
finished.
